Hey folks,
I have a highway one tremolo I am trying to find a whammy bar for. Highway one trems are odd creatures to say the least, screw spacing is wider than the string spacing. I discovered that when buying a highway one body on ebay, and discovering the import trem I bought didn't fit, and then read up somewhere about that oddness. However, I found that the whammy bar hole is at an odd angle...if I do get a screw-in bar in, it sits at a really extreme angle compared to an import trem. Is this normal? Or is there a specific whammy bar I need to keep an eye open for? Thanks! |

OK...nevermind.....I feel retarded.
I am so unsed to asian cheapo trems that I didn't realize that the tremolo holes are drilled at an angle normally on genuine fenders....at least my mexi-caster trem (the one I bought before I realized it was the wrong screw spacing) and my highway trem are drilled exactly that way, so it has to be right. Ah well, no Vai style tremwork for me ![]() |
