I just received my Gotoh tuning heads and my mighty mite neck...something isn't right.
Here is a picture of the tuner and the metal sleeve thingy: http://www.rockhouse.co.kr/shopimages/120300016_c.jpg The actual tuning piece goes into the neck from the bottom and is screwed in...I've figured that out, but this metal sleeve...what happens to that? It isn't threaded, so it doesn't screw into the tuning head... If installed from the top, it just floats there, and would actually fall out if the guitar is turned upside down... Am I making sense? This is kind of bizarre...I wasn't expecting this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ![]() EDIT: Here is another picture of what I have: http://i9.ebayimg.com/05/i/000/cc/5c/9636_1.JPG The sleeves (bushings I think they're called) are kind of lose on the pegholes...mighty might says that the pegholes are 3/8"... Am I missing something? Last edited by Bravo : 12-18-2007 at 10:44 PM. |

Ok, here's an update;
I purchased conversion bushings, so that they bushings no longer move inside the peg holes. The bushings can still fall out though if the guitar neck is turned over. How are these bushings held in? A bit of elmer's glue? |

That would be my guess would be glue seeing they are vintage style. I have never delt with those types of tuners. I just stick with Fender tuners off the mexican strats, those run about $30.00.

I was going to get the regular tuners, but I wanted this to be as close to a 1957 strat as possible. Oh well, not a huge deal
