refinishing the body

I have a body that requires refinishing. A sprayed on some poly and it's all speckled and bumpy (Cheap paint). I have resanded a couple of time and it's still not right. any ideas? thanks:o

Sounds like you need to sand it all down and start over. Check out www.reranch.com (http://www.reranch.com), they have many tips on how to paint bodies.

I agree, I think you need to sand off the cheap paint.

Years ago I sanded down my Tele Deluxe to natural wood, then took it to a furniture shop and had a satin finish put on. The body matches the maple neck now.

It looks like strange as you have resanded it couple of time .I suggest you to start paint form scratch ,sanding off already painted thing !
