texas special pickups

Can anyone tell me if it is the right choise to change my middle pu, a lace sensor gold, for a texas special......

In the stagg I have a dimarzio paf pro...do those 2 go allong???
Will I still have the output difference(wich I like)?

as far as the pups go, thats very subjective-alot has to do with the type of music you play-if i remember rite the lace pups are more on the soft side compared to the texas pups.its fun trying to make a choice. give 'em a try..a lot of players like them....i really love my fender tex-mex pups on my tele.

I too will attest to the Tex-Mex pups sounding much better than the Texas Specials.
I had both a Tex-Mex Strat, and a set of TS's in my MIA Strat, and I thought the Tex-Mex's sounded much better......

I never use the middle pickup

I have a couple axe's with Texas specials, nice pickup but I gotta agree with the other guys on the Tex-Mex pups. They are half the price and I might even like the sound of 'em more than the Texas specials.
