Is a rosewood neck more likely to get fret ware over a mapel neck?

I would have to say rosewood is more likely to get it because it is a soft wood. But it could be that it just shows it better because the wood loses its color.

You mean fretboard I think. Because stainless steel frets would wear slower than standard frets. So an American Deluxe guitar neck regardless of whether it's maple or rosewood would wear the same. A rosewood neck even tho it's more porous will wear more than a maple, but the wear will show less because of the color of the wood. Ebony fretboards, although not standard on strats are your best bet. Warmoth and Mighty Mite both make licensed copies in ebony with stainless steel frets. I have a Mighty Mite neck and replaced the nut with an LSR and replaced the pearl dots with abalone. Looks and plays awesome. The neck and radius are bigger than the standard strat.

If you're talking about the actual frets, it all depends on fret size, fret material, how often you play, how agressive you play. Other than that, primal28 nailed it. Good luck
