Ash or Alder Bodies?

What has better tone, the swamp as or the alder? Does one improve in tone as it ages better than the other one and does is there a big wieght difference?

No wieght difference really. Strat bodies can very on tone, some are really good, some are not. You just really need to go out and play different ones.
