hello there gear heads!
first post...now i know this topic has been done to death so ill try put a spin on it
im about to start building a custom strat and im going for a HSH setup, ii know the "best pickup" larky is all about personal preference but im not sure how my personal tastes translate to pickups so ill try tell yous what i like and hopefully someone could recommend pickups that could suit me!
basically i like a bit a scoop, some sustain(i plan on stickin in a sustain effect on-board) in the notes and a responsive sound so i can quietly pick one min then attack the strings and have a noticeable response, a flutter of notes if you will! dont really like a twangy sound or a thin one but a kind of funkyish sound on the neck pickup is cool (any of that make sense???)
ok thats enough waffling for now, if ive left anything out just ask and if someone could be so bored as to trawl through that post and somehow understand it that would be excellent!
